Juniors Make the Grade

With great pleasure we announce that the three musketeers of the Junior Team will make the jump to the NEMO Racing A Team in 2016. After a super season in 2015, Ollie Currie, Callum Nibblet and Jonny Skidmore will all make the step up.

Ollie Currie
Ollie put together a very consistent 2015 season, with a top 10 finish in the BRCA National Series and a Top 6 finish at the Euro B Championship, Ollie finished off the year with a sensational performance at the Indoor Worlds race in Padova where he made the semi finals and only missed out on a final placing by 1 position. Ollie’s laid back demeanour, hides a quiet confidence that has grown as the year has progressed and he is well set for the coming year.

Callum Nibblet
Callum joined the NEMO team late on before the start of the 2015 season, and made a spectacular debut by taking a semi final place at the NEO Race over Easter. Callum continued to show great speed as the year went on, and although suffering some bad luck at some of the BRCA races, he produced an amazing comeback at the Euro B Championship, when after a disastrous start and first 5 minutes, he staged an exciting comeback to take an eventual 2nd overall and closing on the leader. Callum also has a laid back, lassaiz fair attitude off the circuit, but that belies his on track persona where he is a determined and hard racer that has what it takes to get to the front.

Jonny Skidmore
Jonny like his stablemates had an excellent 2015, making every main final in the 2015 BRCA National Series, the main finals at the Euro B Championship and the Euro B Warm Up and looked set for semi final place at NEO until he landed on track marking and it stopped his engine. Jonny is the opposite of his team mates off the track, a bundle of energy and the joker of the three, he is always up to something. But on the track he has matured and started to channel the energy to produce the best results and is looking forward to another great year in 2016.
We are also delighted that as his older brother Jonny steps up to the A Team, William Skidmore is to join the NEMO Junior Team in 2016.
William has come on leaps and bounds in 2015, and has displayed a calmness you wouldn’t associate with such a young man, (or his brother!) After making a couple of BRCA semi finals in 2015, he is ready to start making a challenge for a place in a main final, and we hope to see that happen in 2016...
We couldn’t be more proud of these guys, and we know they will do themselves proud as part of the NEMO Racing team in 2016…..we can’t wait to see how they do..
